The International Shia Cultural and Human Rights Organization (ISCHRO) condemns the inhumane and despicable attacks against the Shiite mourners in Pakistan.

In a recent attack in the city of Karachi, Sunni extremists blew up a bus carrying Shiite worshippers.  Later the extremists attacked the hospital treating the wounded from the first bomb.  As a result of the attacks 31 people died and 170 were wounded.

The International Shia Cultural and Human Rights Organization demands that the Pakistani government take all possible measures to protect the lives and rights of Pakistani Shiites.  It also encourages the international community to take a stand against such extremist mentality, to condemn the attacks and to isolate rather than deal with those who adhere or encourage such violent ideologies.
